Here’s to another great year of wedding cakes and candy Easter eggs!

I know it seems like we say this every year, but didn’t the past year just fly? I hope that 2015 has started off well and will bring lots of love, happiness and celebrations for all.

My work has already begun for 2015. Yesterday I delivered my first wedding cake of the year to the exquisite Flaxton Gardens in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

As I continue to look ahead for this year, I am excited. I look forward to:

  • Bringing my candy Easter eggs to new locations,
  • Creating beautiful wedding cakes for the many couples who have already entrusted me with the job for their special day, and
  • To meeting new people and working together to bring cake dreams to life!

Before I look too far ahead, though, I’d like to say thank you to my customers, friends in the industry, suppliers and other business supporters for a great 2014.

I’d like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the amazing couples and their photographers, who have very graciously allowed me to share their professional images on my website and Facebook page over the past year.  We are lucky to have some incredibly talented photographers within our region. While I do try to take a nice photo of my cakes set up at their venues, even my best effort will never compare with a beautiful image from a professional photographer!

My cakes travelled all over Queensland last year – the furthest for a country wedding at Hughenden in North Queensland.  As always, it was a pleasure to deliver each cake to familiar venues for weddings held at Rainbow Beach, Gympie, Noosa and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. I also enjoyed providing wedding cakes for receptions held at some gorgeous venues for the first time, such as:

I always think of ‘my’ couples on their wedding days when I know their ceremony has begun, when their reception is due to start, when I know they will have definitely seen their cake(!). I also think of them much later. To all of my wonderful wedding couples from 2014 – I will be thinking of you on your first anniversaries, and hoping that life is continuing to bring you much joy, happiness, and love. Thanks especially to you.

A very ‘Happy New Year’ to you all!
