New Year’s Eve Elopement at Montville Lake Terrace

My last wedding cake for 2015 travelled to the exquisite Montville Lake Terrace in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland for a New Year’s Eve elopement. Nicky Stone of Pomegranate Photography has captured Sarah & Lawson’s special day perfectly and with such stunning detail, that you really must head over to her blog post to see for yourself!

My photograph below actually shows the cake as incomplete! Two very sweet little toppers were added to the cake on arrival, and had a special meaning to the bride and groom. I made Sarah & Lawson a traditional fruit cake, with cream coloured blossoms, silver centres, and navy blue ribbon around the base of each tier. I also made some cupcakes for the occasion in orange dream – a creamy, orange-vanilla flavour – with everything made being free from both peanuts and tree nuts.
