Vintage, handmade…and a little surprise {Flaxton Gardens Wedding Cake}

Vintage, handmade, intimate…Corinne & Ant’s Flaxton Gardens wedding was actually a post-wedding celebration of their love, beautifully captured by Nicky Stone of Pomegranate Photography. A very big thank you to Nicky for permission to use her images below.

Corinne was so lovely and fun to work with. We all know that no celebration is complete without cake, so it was my pleasure to help bring her buttercream dreams to life! Buttercream ruffles decorated the bottom tier, helping to draw the eyes up to the rough textured top tier. From there, the beautiful fresh flowers and bunting added a wonderful finishing touch. The decorations were a collaborative effort, with fresh flowers for the cake provided by Bek at Belle Fleur Maleny, and the adorable handmade bunting topper created by Corinne herself!

To celebrate the happy couple, guests enjoyed high tea at Flaxton Gardens. They were treated to a choice of two flavours for the cake: white chocolate mud cake with raspberry buttercream filling, and lime and coconut cake with white chocolate buttercream.
