You may have seen my previous post about these two cute little owls. I had the pleasure of making this cake topper for a baby shower earlier this year:

I was very happy to be commissioned to make another cake topper for the same customer recently, this time for a Naming Day celebration!
My customer asked for a cute Blue Jay bird topper, with ‘Jay’ piped on the plaque. Here’s what I came up with:

Edible cake topper: Baby Blue Jay with flowers sitting in a nest | Bonnie’s Cakes & Kandies, Gympie
Entirely edible, this little Blue Jay featured hand-painted details to resemble the colours and markings of a real Blue Jay. I think he looked quite comfortable sitting in his nest, and I added some branches and blue and white flowers as a finishing touch.

I couldn’t be happier with how this cake topper turned out! Thank you to my customer for the opportunity to create something unique for Jay’s Naming Day celebration. I hope it was a wonderful day!
