Ivory ruffles for a Gold Coast wedding cake

Making its way from Gympie to the Gold Coast, today’s cake was kindly transported by a family member of the lovely bride who married her groom in their wedding held earlier this month!

The extended height tiers were covered with rows of delicate ivory ruffles, and decorated with rose-like icing fantasy flowers for a soft and romantic style. The roses were coloured in three shades of pink to match with the dresses worn by the bridesmaids.

Not only have ruffles been popular this year, but so have both of the flavours chosen to make up the cake. The top tier was made in refreshing lime and coconut cake, with the bottom tier in carrot cake. Great choices!
