One very lucky lady celebrated her 40th birthday in style earlier this year, with a special birthday cake organised just for the occasion!
The top tier was made in white chocolate coconut mud, and covered in orange coloured chocolate fondant with black tiger stripes. My customer decided on my new choc-orange mud cake flavour for the bottom tier, which continued the tiger theme with a white chocolate fondant covering and black tiger stripes.
While not visible in the photograph below, I placed two tiger paw prints on either side of the greeting on the baseboard. Shooting stars and hearts in white, black, orange and green added height and a bit of movement to the design, with an edible glittery green ‘40’ providing the main focus.
I really enjoyed making this cake, and was very pleased to hear that Sharon and her guests enjoyed eating it just as much! Thanks once again to my customer for this lovely order, and thanks to you for reading!
