Erin & Nick’s Dreamy Brisbane Wedding Cake {with Bird and Boy Photography}

I had the great pleasure of making a gluten and lactose free wedding cake for two incredibly kind and wonderful people in November last year. Erin & Nick were a dream to work with right from the very first email, through to their lovely post-wedding email letting me know how much the cake was enjoyed! They were so kind as to send through two dreamy photographs of their wedding cake, and I’d like to say thanks to Bird and Boy Photography for permission to share. Let’s take a look!

This was my first time delivering to Lightspace in Brisbane and I was very impressed with the space. As for the cake, I covered it with non-dairy buttercream, added a light horizontal ribbed texture to the covering, and placed gorgeous fresh flowers, courtesy of Kate Dawes Floral Design onto the cake as a finishing touch.

Erin & Nick chose a mouth-watering combination of choc-hazelnut for the top tier cake flavour, and dark chocolate raspberry mud cake for their bottom tier – delicious! I was very happy to hear from the newlyweds that the cake was enjoyed by their guests with no-one suspecting that it was free from both gluten and lactose.

I say it often, and each time it is true – my job lets me work with truly lovely people, and it is such a joy to be able to be a part of such a special day, and the beginning of what I wish for them to be a wonderful adventure. Erin & Nick – thank you xo.
