Last year I recreated a half-and-half wedding cake design for a Gold Coast wedding. I really enjoyed the style, and was excited to have the opportunity to create the design again earlier this year.
It was a very hot day when I delivered this wedding cake, and I am glad that this one only travelled locally to Gympie! Let’s take a look…
This design is traditional elegance with a dark side…a dark chocolate side, that is! Each tier of the cake was a different flavour – fruit cake, carrot cake, and dark chocolate mud. Fruit cake and carrot cake have been such popular flavours this year! You can’t go past a well-made, traditional fruit cake, and I love that a number of my customers are choosing the non-traditional carrot cake as something a little bit different.
Wendy from Fuss & Flair Wedding and Event Decorators was adding the finished touches to the decorations as I set up the wedding cake. The set up was just beautiful, with a lot of attention to detail. Great work as usual, Wendy!
